Die Cast Alloy
A Platers Nightmare..
We have to have a disclaimer in place when doing Die Cast.
Some of these parts are so old they are riddled with a canerous pitting. This calls for hours extra work after having the original chrome stripped off.
Neither us or the platers form years and years of experience can accept responsability for the final outcome, even after we have cut out all the pitting then repaired it and sealed it. In fact even after it has been copper plated and polished, there is still no indication at this stage that after chroming, blisters could occur on the surface.
We are happy to run the process of repairing and preparing for plating, But unfortunately in the "unlikely" event of any blistering, that will have to be how it is, UNLESS you are prepared to pay for the whole process again, and even then there is no guarantee, it could micro blister in another area.
That said, here is a bonet emblem that was riddled with crusty cancerous pitting, and after all the repair and prep. It was perfect.

We will be running a die cast sevice, once everything is in place and we are set up to do so.
